How we research

A transparent source trail matters more than an impressive headline number.

Built around a real decision

Paddock Pass helps dog owners compare independently operated private exercise spaces and bookable dog venues. It separates individual private sessions, membership facilities and professional or event-only venue hire.

Paddock Pass is an independent directory project. It is not a trade association, regulator, accreditation body or booking agent. Providers have not endorsed this directory by being included.

What we checked

Research used public operator websites, service pages and selected host-authored Sniffspace or Sniffspot booking listings. Other directories helped identify candidates, but each published record links to primary evidence for its advertised service. Marketplace host listings are labelled separately from operator websites. A visible booking link does not establish current slot availability. Summaries and guides are written for this directory rather than copied from provider marketing.

The present edition includes 60 distinct providers across 7 states or territories. Multiple branches and drop-off points are generally grouped under one operator. The record count is not a count of all individual venues, nor a claim of complete national coverage.

How to read a listing

  • Source review means the public page was checked during research on the displayed date. It does not mean the operator answered us, passed an inspection or confirmed live availability.
  • Tags describe supported service information. An absent tag is unknown rather than a negative finding. Conditions in the notes can narrow a tag's meaning.
  • Location identifies a provider base or a source-backed additional branch. State results count an operator once, even when several branches are recorded. They do not promise to serve every visitor in that state.
  • Sources let you check current detail. Prices, schedules, capacity and policies can change after our review. Sniffspot displayed prices in US dollars during this review; check the currency, exchange charges and final total before paying.

Content and referral policy

Listings use business identifiers, locations, service categories and concise directory-written summaries. Provider phone numbers and email addresses are not published here. Open the tracked website link to check current details and contact or book with the provider.

A search result, HTML title, meta description or structured-data field is not treated as a licence to republish third-party wording. Source links provide context, not copyright permission. This editorial review is not legal clearance; permissions or licences are needed when protected content is reused.

Selection and exclusions

This is a researched selection, not a complete inventory of backyard-hosting marketplaces. Selected host listings are included only where their own public page describes a relevant private service; this is not independent safety verification. Closed or unavailable listings, unsupported private yards, overseas lookalikes and ordinary public dog parks are not added to inflate the count. Professional and event-only venues remain labelled rather than presented as casual private play.

We do not fill gaps with invented listings, duplicate branches or unverified service labels. Default results are currently alphabetical and can be sorted by location. We don’t currently accept payment for placement or rank providers as the best. Any future paid placements will be clearly labelled.

Corrections and accountability

We welcome accurate source-based information, but this edition does not yet have a public publisher contact address or submission facility. We have not substituted a provider's contact details for the publisher's. Read the contact page for the current limitation.
